The CRL is often approached for teaching material on different fish diseases and now an electronic version of a teaching library for fish health professionals is in creation.

Within the National Reference Laboratories we have a great resource of experts, and at the 5th Annual Meeting of National Reference Laboratories for Fish Diseases in Brussels, 2001, the idea was discussed and it was generally agreed to co-operate between the NRL scientists in creating such a library.

The target diseases were selected on the basis of OIE and EU listings.
