What do we do at the CRL?

The functions and duties of the CRL for Fish Diseases are described in Council Directive 93/53/EEC.

They are mainly concerned with fish diseases of List I and II mentioned in Council Directive 91/67/EEC.

The CRL co-ordinates those activities of the National Reference Laboratories (NRLs) in EU that aim to harmonise diagnostic techniques and disseminate information of mutual interest.

Details of the workprogramme for the CRL is decided on the Annual Meeting of NRLs.
