Proficiency Tests
The CRL organises annual proficiency
tests for the NRLs, which aim to assess
their abillity to isolate and identify
the notifiable diseases and other current
diseases.
Each participant
receive coded ampoules containing
lyophilised material, which has to
be identified according to CD ….
Within
a deadline of 8 weeks. Subsequently,
each participant receive a report
on the test with identification of
the content of the ampoules, and a
summary of the results of all laboratories
in a coded version.
The participants
are informed of their own code number
and are thus able to compare their performance
to that of the rest.
